• Developed systems requirements, system and architectural design, and served as project manager, system implementer, programmer and trainer to meet
needs of a diverse set of businesses.
Achievements:
• Designed and programmed a system to interface a order processing application running on a server to ABS running on an iSeries system. Read files from
the IFS and created work orders, transaction records and, log records in the ABS system. Automatically archived processed data and provided data for error
reporting and reprocessing of errors. -utilized embedded SQL, RPGLE programs and, numerous API’s.
• Assisted in the designed and programming an ETL system to load Loan IQ data base from in house loan processing system. -utilized embedded SQL and,
RPGLE.
• Designed and programmed a system on the IBM iSeries analyze data base integrity utilizing Dynamic SQL. System was designed to work with any data base
allowing the users to describe the files and the relationships between data elements contained in the files. SQL statements entered were edited on line and
could be written to span multiple platforms. If possible, the system could perform automatic corrections of the data. SOX compliant. Utilized embedded
dynamic SQL programs, RPGLE programs, and, numerous fie and object related API’s.
• Designed and programmed a series of interface programs to interface Lawson’s General Ledger and Accounts Payable system to Commercial Ware
including vendors, purchase order receipts, refund checks and, general ledger journal entries. The system read output XML messages from Message
Queues, translated XML messages, created inbound XML messages, wrote messages to Message Queues, wrote directly to and read directly from stream
files on the IFS, utilized SCP to transfer files from/to the IBM iSeries and network servers, created interfaces to send notification Emails via JavaMail and,
created delimited files for processing by Lawson. - utilized SCP, embedded SQL programs, RPGLE programs, WebSphere MQ and, stream file API’s and,
JavaMail.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented a system manage enciphered data including key exchanges, authorizations, credit card settlement data.
encipher and decipher data received from approximately 300 4690 PC registers utilizing IBM 4758 and 4764 Cryptographic Coprocessors, maintain a secure
IBM iSeries data base environment restricting access to secured data and allowing for the authorized retrieval of clear data - utilized FTP, embedded SQL
programs, RPGLE programs and, Common Cryptographic Architecture (CCA) program interfaces.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented a system process and convert XML extract data to IBM iSeries data base for ECommerce sales system – utilized
FTP, embedded SQL programs and, RPGLE programs.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented a system to manage sales tax collection and reporting on ECommerce sales including company applicable sales
tax table creation based upon maintained nexus information and externally provided sales tax table – utilized FTP, embedded SQL programs and, RPGLE

• Designed, programmed, and implemented a conversion system to modify client source code to meet needs of an acquired business – utilized embedded
SQL programs, created stored procedures for WEB execution of RPG programs.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented an image upload solution for client with 130 PCs in over 90 locations with a volume of over 30,000 photographic
images per day – developed modular design, utilized FTP for image upload and IFS file system, automated creation of thumbnail photographs through
interface with a server application – saved hundreds of hours of labor in the remote locations of this company and decreased lost images from 7.5% to
under 0.5%.
• Resolved a client perceived need for hundreds of new access ID’s for a new system to support a new business unit – designed, programmed, and
implemented a solution that allowed company employees to access either system with their existing ID.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented a distribution center management system that included: interface to a PC controlled automated shipping
system, RF device floor control, workflow and order management, shipping carton packaging optimization, automated ” putaways” and replenishments,
distribution center space optimization, inventory control, package materials control, and cycle count functions.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented a physical inventory system for retail locations and a distribution center that included all controls required to
accurately record physical inventory counts and cutoff information.
• Designed and implemented a system to monitor short and long term grape purchase contracts and crush records for a major winery – developed interface
to accounts payable system to record liabilities and inventory, and to process payments to growers.
• Enhanced a legacy project management system to include production source protection, replication and controlled movement to production of compiled
objects to 5 IBM iSeries systems, and automated large project building and tracking functions for system wide changes (enlarging zip code fields,
changes to dates for ISO standards, etc.).
• Converted major EDI software package from System 38 to IBM iSeries.
• Designed and programmed major portions of Mail/400 and MI programming for message translation and forwarding.
• Designed and programmed a Job Monitoring System for support jobs – allowed manual intervention and supported both native IBM iSeries and WEB
support systems.
• Enhanced WEB interface utilizing SQL, stored procedures, and DB2 for client developing WEB applications on an IBM iSeries platform.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented an IBM iSeries solution that allowed a client to upload forms, change or add register system record formats,
post to an Oracle database, and transfer data using FTP, all without operator intervention.

o For order processing, inventory control, and distribution systems and proprietary software running on HP
equipment – design included remote communications and online interfaces utilizing TCP/IP.
o For external order processing for client with Lawson/PKMS system running on an IBM iSeries platform.
o For spool file transfer system to rout spool files to recipients on a multi-IBM iSeries network.
o To JD Edwards for cost of sales, shipping, and labor for retail clients using Island Pacific software.
o To the Bank of Montreal and First Bank of Omaha for credit card verification and nightly processing for two
client relationships.
o Between Island Pacific, MOVEX, and JD Edwards for order processing, distribution control, and inventory control.
